The top layer is cotton flannel and the pad is made with 4 inner layers of thick cotton fleece, 1 layer PUL to make it waterproof, and backed with black polyester fleece.

The pad itself is very long, measuring 17" (43cm). The width at the front is 6" (15cm) and the back is wider at 8.5" (22cm). When the pad is closed it measures 3" (8cm) at the gusset.
